Common Sense Alliance v. Growth Management Hearings Board

On Tuesday, June 2, 2015, at 9:30am, CSA attorney, Sandy Mackie, will present CSA’s challenge to San Juan County’s newly updated Critical Areas Ordinance (CAO).  The CAO conditions any new development of a property based on the development’s proximity to critical areas rather than its environmental impacts to critical areas.

The Pacific Legal Foundation (PLF) joined CSA in this challenge.  Read more on the PLF Blog at this link:  “Fighting to Protect San Juan Property Owners from Land Grab.”

If you would like to attend the oral argument, Division I of the State Court of Appeals is located in Seattle at 600 University Street in the One Union Square building.  Each party to the appeal will be allowed ten minutes to orally argue their position to Division I, Appellate Judges Leach, Appelwick and Becker.

You can read more on the Common Sense Alliance website.
