Dear CSA Friends and Supporters,

By authority of the Revised Code of Washington (state law), the Presiding Officer of the Growth Management Hearings Board consolidated all of the Petitions for Review of the County’s recently adopted Critical Areas Ordinance ("CAO") into one case which will now be entitled Friends of the San Juans, et al. v. San Juan County.

The Order of Consolidation was signed on Tuesday, February 19, and consolidates all of the Petitions filed by the Friends, the P. J. Taggares Company, Common Sense Alliance, William H. Wright, and the San Juans Builders Association.

A Prehearing Conference will be held with the Board and the respective parties’ attorneys on March 7 to discuss the final framing of the issues set forth for review.

Going forward, do not be surprised when you see this GMBH review of the County's CAO referred to as the “Friends, et al. v. San Juan County.”  Each petitioner has their own separate issues for review.
