Dear Friends and Neighbors,

CSA would like to draw your attention to the latest post on the Trojan Heron blog, Broken Dreams - First in a Series, that tells the story of our island neighbor Bill Diller (owner of the Lopez Islander Resort) and the hardships his small business has faced at the hands of the Friends of the San Juans. It's worth the read!

With a continued eye on property rights and land-use ability, if you would like to know more about the affects of the newly passed Critical Areas Ordinance, please attend one of CAO training sessions being put on by the county. According to staff, the sessions will be highlights about where the CAO applies, new buffers, and processes.

San Juan Island: Friday, March 14th, 9:00-11:00am: Mullis Street Fire Station
Orcas Island: Thursday, March 20th, 10:00am-12:00pm: Orcas Senior Center
Lopez Island: To Be Determined

Regards,
Common Sense Alliance
